Overview
The RISE (Robotics in Science Education) program is a unique offering that is designed to provide a holistic learning experience for students from V through XII. In this program students learn the concepts of STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) through a series of hands-on experiments, challenges and competitions.
The program is designed to involve the fundamental processes of conceptualization, design, implementation and execution. Each module incorporates an optimum mix of theoretical concepts, algorithm development, programming and hands-on implementation.
Approach
At Li2 we aim to provide easy-to-use robotics educational learning resources for schools, many created and licensed by Carnegie Mellon University Robotics Academy.
With focus on a holistic learning our pedagogy involves key elements of experiential learning. Our approach revolves on the simple motto of:
Lead – Innovate – Implement

Overview
ROBOTC is a powerful C-based programming language with a Windows environment for writing and debugging programs, and the only programming language at this level that offers a comprehensive, real-time debugger. Developed by RoboMatter Inc in association and with Intellectual properties from Carnegie Mellon University Robotics Academy. ROBOTCis a cross-platform solution that allows students to learn the type of c-based programming used in advanced education and professional applications.
Latest Features
Natural Language Programming – Programming in RobotC just got a lot easier. Introducing RobotC’s Natural Language Library a collection of common robot behaviours at your finger tips. When beginner programmers use RobotC’s new Natural Language Library they can write codes using commands that are easy to use and to remember
Robot Virtual Worlds – ROBOTC’s new Robot Virtual Worlds simulation software allows programmers to test their robots in a simulation environment before they test the code on their real robots. (Read More Link to Robot Virtual World page)
ROBOTC is a:
LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT programming language
TETRIX programming language
VEX programming language for CORTEX and PIC robots
Programming Language for Arduino Uno/Mega (coming soon) micro-controllers
Benefits of using ROBOTC
Uses the industry standard C-programming language. Additional language extensions specifically for robotic use.
Modern Windows GUI with standard visual interface.
The only solution with fully integrated software debugger allowing users to step line by line through program execution and analysis of all variables.
Additional debugging tools allow the user to see the real time states of all motors and sensor. These are viewed as your program is running; not as a separate application!
Over 100 Sample Programs with extensive documentation so students and hobbyists can get started learning how to program
Free webinars, video tutorials, community forums, detailed help files, and curriculum provided by Carnegie Mellon’s Robotics Academy.
ROBOTC has the same form and feel, often even the same command names, as professional tools used on other systems.

Overview
Robotics is an incredible tool for exciting students about Science, math and Computer Programming. Still robotics classrooms face several challenges. Providing enough robots to facilitate a classroom can be expensive, and few students have their own robots for home work. Now, with Robot Virtual Worlds (RVW) every student with a computer can experience the same benefits of learning how to program robots.
RVW simulates popular real world VEX, LEGO and TETRIX robots in a 3-D environment. The virtual robots are programmed using the same language and environment as their real world counterparts.
RobotC is a leader in educational robot programming.
RVW is available to students 24X7 allowing them to learn to program at home giving the teachers the ability to assign homework. RVW cirruculum and training resources are available online (for free). A full version of the virtual world software can also be downloaded for free for 60 days! Try programming on the curriculum challenge boards.
If you have computers with dedicated video cards you should also checkout some of the themed virtual worlds such as the tropics and outer space.
Features
Use the exact same ROBOTC code in both the simulation environment and the real environment
Includes ROBOTC‘s powerful interactive run-time debugger
Training materials posted at the ROBOTC website
Game like environment to make programming fun
And everyone gets their own robot!
Course Content
The content is designed and customised to suit the comprehension capabilities of students. It aligns with the concepts covered in the syllabus and gives students an opportunity to relate to multi-disciplinary applications through an experiential learning process. The course is independently structured to cater students from V to XII grades.
